From January to May in 2026, the cumulative export value of textile and clothing reached 812.24 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.1% compared with the same period last year. Among them, the export value of textiles was 413.94 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.5%; the export value of clothing was 398.3 billion yuan, a decrease of 4.7%. 

In May, the export value of textile and clothing reached 175.79 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 7% and a month-on-month increase of 6.9%. Among them, the export value of textiles was 86.43 billion yuan, a decrease of 5.1% and a month-on-month decrease of 0.5%, while the export value of clothing was 89.36 billion yuan, a decrease of 8.7% and a month-on-month increase of 15.1%.
